Hired a van for the moving of 2 old ladies belongings etc
On hiring a rental van I was told by the (main boss) of the company that he wanted the van to return with the fuel gauge between the red gauge and the quarter of a tank marker. That is exactly where it was when I returned it. As requested.In the inside of the windscreen, top rhs. It has a label clearly requesting that the vehicle is to be returned without the red fuel light on, as mentioned before, I returned the vehicle with the needle exactly between the red gauge, and the quarter of a tank mark, as requested by the (main boss).Both of these requests (chosen and designed by the main boss) both conflict with each other.When I returned the vehicle (the main boss) told me that he wanted the vehicle with the fuel marker on the quarter of a tank mark. In other words.. (1/8th of a tank, ie, 10 extra fuel for him, may I add.) Greed, I think!.He had no reply to this, instead he stormed off with the hump on, slammed my 250 deposit down on the desk, and said theirs your deposit no thankyou, or goodbye. Nice guy hey??. I counted my deposit, it was correct, and then I left.The vans rear/rhs door mechanism was not working correctly, hence I could not fully open the door, and it made my day much harder. The internal lights in the rear of the van were not working either, this also made my day much harder.I would not recommend Automania Van Rental, and I will not be using them again.

Writing this email on behalf of Carl Dobson as he does not have a Google account. I rented a van from here on Saturday 7th of July. It was a badly dented Ford Transit with faulty management lights saying the doors were open when they werent. I recommend you avoid this company like the plague, absolute rip off, when I went to return the van they informed me they were going to take 20 from my deposit as I hadnt filled it up with fuel. It didnt come with any fuel! In the paperwork it stated to replace fuel on a like for like basis, which I did! When I dropped it back it had more miles left on the countdown to empty than it had when I picked it up. I cant add photos here to prove this but will on the post section of the page.Its one of those things that isnt worth overly arguing about at the time, especially as I was in a rush. However I just want people to be aware that they have shoddy, disappointing customer service and I dread to think how they would have treated a more vulnerable person than me. Avoid like the plague and use a better company with better service like Europcar or Bridgwater van hire.
